Revelation 8:8-
A great mountain
Israel will crush attacking nations:
Isa 41:14-
All ablaze
Just like God has a spiritual New Jerusalem that docents to earth later in Revelation, satan has his own spiritual mountain Babylon. This mountain was already burning when cast down from heaven. Combine that with the symbolic meaning of fire: judgment/war it seems the satan's kingdom was cast down to earth after satan and his angels lost the war in heaven. So the burning mountain is spiritual Babylon.
Thrown Into the Sea
Jeremiah 51:24-
The mountain Babylon which destroyed nations (with paganism) is rolled of the cliff (thrown into the sea). It then becomes a burned-
So far we have a burning mountain called Babylon which is extinguished when it’s cast into the sea.
A third of the sea turns into blood
The sea is the nation(s) the mountain fell into. The blood I don’t know. Possibly 1/3 of it’s inhabitants dies during war.
Blood=dahm=red. When blood is spilled by murder the only thing that purifies is spilling the blood of the murderer. So symbolically the blood sea could also mean many human blood will be spilled. But all of that is just speculation because with such flexible meaning of words much can be said but little can be proven...
A third of the living creatures in the sea died
Only living things can die; so why the verse mentions they are living? The answer is that the living are spiritually alive – believers. The dead are those spiritually dead.
Matthew 8:22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Obviously those who did the burying where alive of body – but dead in spirit.
Rev 14:13 “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” ….
Another strange one at first sight; dead people who die. The real meaning is quite simple: The spiritual dead come alive by believing in Christ and then die in Christ as martyrs.
A third of the ships
Those ships sail in the non-
Proverbs 31:10-
The wife is of noble character is a ship transporting good stuff to her husband. Because the ship/wife sails a non-
