After the marriage feast
The couple goes on a yearlong honeymoon and pitch their tent wherever they like. Law did forbid the husband going to war or work during this period. So before getting married he also needed to save money to live on for a whole year.
Deut 24:5 When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he has taken.
Song 7:10-12 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me. Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give you my loves.
