Isa 28:10 For precept must be on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, and there a little:
What is Christian Universalism, and what it's not.
Christian Universalism is not Universalism.
Universalism:
1- Christ is one of the ways to Heaven.
2- Many (all?) religions are a ticket to heaven.
3- Being nice is a ticket to heaven.
4- No consequences for sin.
Christian Universalism:
1- Christ is the only way to Heaven.
2- Only what’s written in the Bible is correct and a ticket to Heaven.
3- Being nice is great but worthless without Christ.
4- God won’t be mocked. Harvest what you sow. Consequences are a fact.
All that said, the main differences with other Christian doctrines are:
- Jesus saves everyone that has ever lived.
- Punishment is not endless but converts the sinner and unbeliever into a believing good person. It does so during our life here on earth and if needed continues as long as needed after we die.
