The two goats of Atonement day

Jesus played the role of the two goats. One goat “for the Lord”, one goat for “Azazel” (a demon/false god). The goat for Azazel was selected and the priest layed hand on the goat. That way the priest symbolically placed all sins on the goat. The goat wasn’t a sinner, it just carried sins. Just as Jesus wasn’t a sinner but carried our sins.

After the ceremony a man leads the goat into the wilderness. In Jesus case that man was HS

Matt 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

In Lev 16:5-22 we read the goat was led to a solitary place.
Jesus was in a solitary place for 40 days.

The goat was supposed to fall of a cliff and die. Satatan tempted Jesus to jump down because God would send angels to catch Him.
